About Us
The Music Therapy Association of Nigeria (MUTHAN) stands at the forefront of advancing music therapy as a recognized and respected field nationwide. We bring together passionate professionals, educators, and advocates who believe in the profound impact of music on individual and community well-being.
Our Story
Founded with inspiration from pioneers such as Prof. Anthony Mereni, MUTAN has been instrumental in establishing music therapy’s place within healthcare, education, and community support systems in Nigeria. Since our official registration with CAC (Coporate Affiars Commission) in 2019, our organization has bridged local musical traditions and international best practices to create truly transformative experiences.
